Wedding was fine...but truly the culmination of months of intense planning by my wife and I as the bride and groom were both in the process of graduating college and making it through the final few weeks of their college careers (including finals). A very emotional day for us. To try and keep this somewhat forum-related...at least one fella came up to me as the event was winding down and say that I should just put my feet up today with a nice, cold drink and watch a DVD!

Well, I am glad I am not the only one that has done something "boneheaded" at DeepDiscount. A few years ago, I somehow got three of the same title on one order, and didn't realize it until I had finalized the order. I, too, was placing the order after being very tired and/or relaxing with a few beers.

I contacted DD customer service, and they told me my only option was to send back the two extra copies after the order arrived, since I wanted to keep one of the copies. I am not sure about your situation, though.

Well, I'm basically taking Malcolm's advice. Not hiding the bill (necessarily)...but letting the order follow its course.

I've had several VERY pleasant conversations with different CS people at DeepDiscount and my options were: 1.) to simply return the package to sender as it had already been "processed" at the warehouse and incapable of being stopped; or, 2.) apply the discount via telephone after the order is "completed". I guess I'll just go ahead and do that.

But, it's going to take another day or so. I have to wait until it has shipped for some reason...and, although they say the Mega Sale crunch rushed my order off their system and to the warehouse, that same Mega Sale crunch has slowed down the warehouse some and it has yet to ship. They figure I'll be able to apply the discount tomorrow.

They are all very happy to help me apply the discount and continue the order.

I believe the coupon codes are mainly based on companies at which DD advertises the sale. Some of the codes are DVDTALK (DD advertises there all the time), ESPN, XM, USATODAY (I know I've seen ads for previous sales in the print edition of USAT).
