Hm. This may be the first time I'll opt not to buy...but you know how that goes. :)

Okay, I feel really dumb.

How do you get the discount? As the way I used to do it is not working.

First, you get something in your cart, then you get an active code like "BARGAINFLIX" you put than into the little box in the bottom left side. Then you hit "apply" right?

I do that and the the prices stay the same but at the bottom where the subtotal is it says "promotional discount" and the total stays the same.

Any thoughts?

Perty Please!

Thanks Bill...

I talked to a friend about it and he explained it to me. I'm used to DDD taking off 20% themselves and showing how much the price is after. I guess they've changed it where you have to take the 20% off yourself, while they've already taken it off, and the after discount price is sad in red text at the bottom under "promotional discount?"

That kind of confused me. Basically, what I mean is - in your shopping cart, the price shown is the regular price, and it does not say what the discounted price is for one item, but rather for the entire total at the bottom of the screen. Is that right?

That is correct - the total 20% discount is shown in the summary section and is not deducted from each item. My previous post showing my DeepDiscount.com order may have been confusing because I edited it to show the discount price for each item in parenthesis. Here is how my order actually looked at final checkout:
Harry and the Hendersons
$9.49 Standard Shipping

Edward Scissorhands
$10.39 Standard Shipping

Law & Order - The Fifth Year
$39.64 Standard Shipping

Law & Order - The Fourth Year
$39.64 Standard Shipping

Order Summary

Item Total: $99.16
Shipping & Handling: 0.00
Discount: -19.83
Tax: 0.00

Order Total:
$79.33
Note that when you receive your email confirmation, the discount will be applied to each item, and not just shown in total. Here's my email confirmation for the same order:
1 FXD000537 DVD : EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (WS/SE) $ 8.31 In-stock
1 MCA000420 DVD : HARRY & THE HENDERSONS (SE) $ 7.59 In-stock
1 MCA028955 DVD : LAW & ORDER-4TH YEAR $ 31.71 In-stock
1 MCA031964 DVD : LAW & ORDER-5TH YEAR $ 31.71 In-stock

Merchandise Total: $ 79.32
Tax: $ .00
Shipping & Processing: $ .00

Total for this Order: $ 79.32
Hope this helps to clear up any confusion.

I was thinking about making a samll order to just catch up on some of the items that the local B&M haven't been carrying. Now more of a reason.

But I likely won't be buying as much this time round and perhaps for not as
much. It just seems like there is less disposable cash this year than there was last. :frowning:

Isn't the sale starting early this year? Not that I'm complaining... but I'll wait until next week so I can get the new Doctor Who release. :)

Thanks. She's a goodun. Her appearance is a lot different lately because she has a bad infection and swelling on her nose. This is definately a part of the reason I can't participlate. :frowning:

I'm really digging this going until the 17th. Two weeks of new releases to get, plus a couple old things. First order is Tuesday, second the next Tuesday. I might squeeze one more in there...I'm not sure.

You can place multiple orders, you just have to use a different promo code each time.

I ordered a few titles yesterday and will go back on Tuesday to order the new World War II films set, Mission Impossible Season 2, and the final season of Hogan's Heroes. Then back on the 12th for Deadwood Season 3 and Rat Patrol Season 2.
