The second pressing of A Hard Day's Night has a new UPC number pasted on the outside plastic wrapper:
715515272612.
The original number of the defective pressing is 715515267212.
Quite similar...
This may be the first time Criterion does this. I know for a fact that they didn't issue different UPC codes when they recalled their first pressing of the Seven Samurai DVD in prehistoric times. In more recent times, they kept the same UPC for both the defective and corrected pressings of Eraserhead. I have other titles, but not on hand to check.

No news yet, but those who like to plan ahead a bit --- Fall Flash Sale should be coming up soon.

The last several years it's been the 3rd Tuesday in October which would be Oct 18th. A couple people now reporting getting their Criterion Stream Promo $10 codes in the last couple days which usually have been sent out a few days prior to sale so at least a small chance it will happen this Tuesday/11th. They normally announce something by email or social media Monday night around 8pm or so

2 new A-list releases this week, 2 very good Horror movies next week which all would be excellent titles so no real giveaways based on those
