Am somewhat of a newbie on this....want to know how some closed captions are jumbled and off when watching certain DVDs (example: while watching an old show like Gunsmoke, the captions are spot on with no errors, then I put in more recent shows example: South Park season 14 or Lost season 3 and the captions are completely off. Can anyone tell me how to fix this or adjust anything? Thanks!!!!

Captions are no different from theatrical trailers in that they are an optional bonus feature. Some discs have them and some don't. If the captions are scrambled then there is a problem with how they were either encoded or decoded. I suppose it's also possible that the signal was somehow corrupted between the source and the display unit. Sent from my SPH-M830 using HTF mobile app
