Great score in Casino Royale (1967). Rest in Peace.

CASINO ROYALE and WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT, and to a marginally lesser degree, AFTER THE FOX, are my favorite Bacharach scores (though I don't consider the movies they were scored for to be very good). I was big into slapstick and zaniness in the 60's, and these albums fit the bill! I even prefer them to BUTCH CASSIDY.

Thanks for these. Too bad most of them are lip-synched.

Wish some of his unreleased music came out on CD or whatever. Don't think the songs he wrote for "The Devil and Max Devlin" and sung by Julie Budd ever came out on CD or LP.

A great composer.

So many wonderful songs that are ingrained into our national consciousness...
I did see the original run of Promises, Promises, albeit not with the original cast; and the one cast member I did want to see, Lorna Luft, didn't show for my performance. Sad.
Many thanks to Mr. Bacharach and his many stellar collaborators.
May he RIP.

Among the very greats in song composing with Hal David. And as a personal he was a big part of the soundtrack to my childhood.

Favorite times he's appeared in something. The Austin Powers movie. Just out of the blue. And his mention in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. "..I'm afraid this conversation isn't very good..." :D
