I am looking to increase my DVD collection (see other psoting today). I have an Onkyo 595 receiver that has the DTS encoding. What DVD's are at the top of your list that have DTS? Thanks.
I also have the 595, and here are some DTS titles that I recommend:
Steely Dan: Two Against Nature
Saving Private Ryan: DTS (an absolute must-own!)
The Prince Of Egypt: DTS
Titan A.E.
The Caveman's Valentine
The Red Violin
The Mask Of Zorro: Special Edition
Here we go:
Jurassic Park (The fixed version)
Saving Private Ryan
U-571
Titan A.E.
The Bone Collector
The Rock (Criterion Collection)
Terminator 2
Seven (Platinum Edition)
Unbreakable
The Red Violin
The X-Files: Fight The Future
Die Hard Trilogy: Ultimate Editions
The Haunting
Gladiator
Dances With Wolves
Jaws
Hannibal
The Fantasia Anthology
Men In Black
Chicken Run
Almost Famous (Wait until December for the new version)
Dinosaur
Galaxy Quest
These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

------------------ My HT Equipment "I've seen you and you are not cool."
It's been said before, but certainly bears repeating:
The Haunting.
Disposable movie but absolutely incredible DTS sound. I think a subwoofer is an essential element of this, however. The bass just rolls right over you during certain sections. A very active audio mix also pays off in great surround effects. It always impresses folks who've never heard 5.1 audio!
And a selection that I've not heard mentioned, but one I certainly stand up for:
Hannibal.
The Dolby Digital version sounds (to me, anyway) cold and limp. The DTS version really impressed me, especially since I wasn't expecting much. Not flashy in the same sense as The Haunting, but very effective.
My picks:
Fantasia
Fantasia 2000
Big Trouble in Little China
Cast Away
T-2: Ultimate Edition
O Brother Where Art Thou?
------------------
P.S.: There's no P.S.
My choices for top DTS DVD's to date:
The Bone Collector
Twister
U-571
Titan A.E.
Galaxy Quest
Gladiator
Men In Black
Saving Private Ryan
Amistad
Dante's Peak
The Boxer
The Flinstones
The Peacemaker
Patch Adams
The Siege
Dances With Wolves
Unbreakable
The Best Man
Celebrate! The Best of Tina Turner
Just to name a few.

The Acid Queen Still Rocks and Souls!!!! ;D
I have to mention Roy Orbisons "Black and White Nights" for its exceptional DTS track. VERY active surrounds and very clean.
I use this disc often to demo my system for friends who are looking into an HT system and jaws really drop over the sound. Since I got the SVS sub, it has only got better.
There's definitely some great DTS titles mentioned above and I certainly prefer the DTS soundtrack whenever possible.

"I am part of all that I have met, yet all experience is an arch wherethru gleams that untraveled world whose margin fades forever and forever...."
Funny..nonone mentions Antz.
Must have dts disc (also my first dts disk).
Others i strongly recomend is
Saving Private Ryan *** must have
T2UE *** must have
The Fifth Element (Superbit)
The Mummy Returns (R4, 2disc dts)
Bonecollector
Gladiator (R2 - better colors, sharper image)
Twister *** must have
And ofcourse a few more.
The new Superbit Air Force One takes what had been a reference quality soundtrack and boosts it up a couple more notches, well past eleven on the DTS track. http://www.digitallyobsessed.com/sho...w.php3?ID=1700
