I ain't touching iOS 6 (for our iPad3) until they fix the Maps situation big time although I *am* getting annoyed w/ iOS 5's mobile Safari crashing so easily on Facebook these days -- and am wondering if they've improved on that front.

I do plan on picking up a couple iPad Minis for my mother and son real soon, but Maps won't matter as much to them -- and I'll likely just get wifi-only for them, which means no GPS hardware either...
