GÅJE stands
These look pretty cool, but I can't tell if they allow hidden wire runs. Anyone try them out? I'd appreciate any info.

Yeah I saw those to. Pretty cheap dollarwise. I wonder how the speakers mount.

They look pretty flimsy from the pics. You really want a stand that is heavy and ridig. If the speaker is on top of the stand and touch the speaker the stand shouldn't move and this one looks like it will. That said, if you only have $25 budget then these might do the trick. I've never found a stand under $175/pair that fit the major two requirements I have, heavy and ridig.

I googled that brand and found a thread in another forum which revealed that the "touch-and-close fastening" system is just velcro. I'll pass.

I have the ones from parts express & have never had a problem in 4 years of owning them. They are reasonably priced & looks like they're on sale...
Very sturdy too (the base is nice & heavy). But the speaker just rests on top..I guess you could add some velcro if you're worried about it. Mine just sit in the "groove" and have never fallen out.
They go quite high (47.5 inches) and allow for hidden wires.
I'd give them for a bargain stand.
