$800-1000, Two Bookshelves; Center (1 Viewer)

I have a budget from $800-1000 for two main bookshelve speakers and a center channel speaker. This will be used for only home theater. What do you guys suggest I look into?

It depends on what kind of sound you are looking for. I'd suggest to go out to some stero shops and listen to different brands. Find out what you like and then start from there. Every one likes a different sounding speaker.

You certainly don't want anything that is rear-ported. Look at NHT. Their SB3's might fit between those shelves.

contact brian bunge at Link Removed and he can custom build you speakers in a veneer to match your decor (high WAF). For a little over $1K he could build you 3 GR Research AV-1s (which I have and love), or perhaps some of his new Metal speakers (this refers to the drivers and not the cabinet).
