The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in…as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don’t get paid for this, and I don’t have the time to list every DVD. So, please don’t complain! If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

The Specials

–Best Buy, this week, has EXCLUSIVE STEELBOOK PACKAGING with their 4k UHD Blu releases of Assassin’s Creed and Sing.    There is no pricing premium for these steelbooks.  Best Buy also has a steelbook for its $19.99 Blu release of Assassin’s Creed.

–Best Buy is also advertising 4k UHD discs for just $14.99 apiece.  More than 20 titles from which to choose.  Titles shown:  John Wick, Lone Survivor and Suicide Squad.

–Best Buy Odds and Ends:  The Blu of Minions for $9.99 And DVDs of Despicable Me and DM2 are also $9.99 apiece.

–@ Target this week, buy the Blu of Sing and get an EXCLUSIVE PLUSH TOY (GUNTER) for only $1.99 (Regular price $10).  Quantities limited, no rain checks.  Items packaged separately.

–I haven’t seen the film, so I have no clear idea what this is…but Target is advertising an EXCLUSIVE FREE HIDDEN DAGGER ARM SLEEVE with its copies of Assassin’s Creed.   Quantities limited, no rainchecks.  Items packaged together.  (If it’s what I figure it to be, it sure does seem like a bad idea.  Just sayin’!)

–Some $10 DVDs at Target this week.  Titles include: The Magnificent Seven, Storks, Sully.

–Target Odds and Ends: 40 Dreamworks DVDs on sale this week.  Five titles shown @ $7.50 apiece including Home, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, The Croods.

As always, thanks so much for your work, Mike!

I thought Miss Sloane was very good, and Jessica Chastain was phenomenal in it. I would encourage a rental for those (most people) who missed it in theaters. However, it's not one that I would replay often enough to justify a purchase.

So, absolutely nothing for me this week -- which is good, because next week is much heavier.

Thanks for the prices, Mike, and the links to reviews.

I put in to review a couple of other of this week's releases, but they haven't arrived yet. Hopefully, they'll appear this week as I continue to work on titles for the last week in March.

I'm still waiting on last week's How to Succeed to show up from SAE!

If your order still says pending, you can send them an email. If it has a tracking number you can click on the link and track it through the (USPS ? ) website ... Ordering stuff from KINO directly if even more fun .. FedEX has found a way to send the package to the smallest towns they can find on it's way across the country ...

Nothing for me from a B/M. I may do an order with the DIsney Movie Club this week to take advantage of a member offer. Thanks, as always, Mike!

I actually did that yesterday!

I hope I get a response tomorrow.

And my response:

Good morning,

We just received the stock of the new titles late last week and are working to get those out now. Your order will ship by end of business today.

Sincerely,

Katie

Screen Archives Entertainment

I think, though, there were people who got their TT tiles from SAE several days ago...but I'd have to find those comments in the TT thread to be sure. I know the people who ordered through TT got theirs on time...or early!

I picked mine up today (shipped Friday) with the 4 new releases and 2 sale titles. As it turns out, my second order of 6 sale titles from Monday shipped Friday and came today also. Often it seems it's one title that holds things up. Last month it was 2 separate new titles that were delayed at the replicator and my preorders were nearly 2 weeks late. I'm can't remember if you ordered the group of 4 to get the $99.80 price or not.

Nope.

Just How to Succeed...and, since I was ordering, Nicholas Nickleby & Zulu.

So much for that theory that sounded good when I wrote it. I can't remember if folks who go How to Succeed all got them from TT or some from SAE? Hopefully by the end of the week everything will come through.

At least it's better than the Family Video Arrow Title sale which is 2 weeks and counting and only 10% of the items seem to delivered. No shipping emails, nothing in your account updates, titles just randomly show up in a baggie. It hard to get too mad since the prices the first week were 65-75% off before most of them bumped up last week. Still lots of strained tempers for folks that don't remember "Items will be delivered in 8-12 weeks, just mail 10 boxtops and a quarter to Cheerios Deal PO BOX", etc.

Wow, I must have been under a rock, two titles this week I had no idea was coming. I might have known about Life Boat when I bought the region two copy last year. I'll be curious if there is a review thread to see if this copy might be from a better print.

Being There is a terrific film and one of Sellers best work. I'm really glad it's finally coming and from Criterion no less!

This just sucks. :(

SAE is still listing my pre-order of 3-1 as "pending." That's even with the response of March 20th (posted above) that it would be shipped by the end of business on March 20th.

How to Succeed was released on March 14th! I think I'm done with them...

The other titles in that 3-1 order were Zulu and Nicholas Nickleby. Cant figure this out.
