What can anyone tell me about the Yamaha RX-V3300 receiver? How does it stack up to that of the Marantz, Denon's or Pioneer Elite receiver's.

I just bought one on the 25th for $999 from the Good Guys and I love it.
I chose the 3300 over the new 2400 because I wanted the beefier amp section. Which other receivers are you wanting to compare it to?

i almost bought one from a Sound Advise in my neighborhood for $950 but walked out for some unmentionable reasons. i ended up with a HK7200 for about the same price. processing may not be as good as the 3300 but the amp is alot beefier and i like the HK's warmer sound.
