I am about to purchase a yamaha htr 5760, but I have one snag my sorround speakers are 4 ohm speakers, while the receiver is rated for 8 ohms.

Considering the relativly little use the sorrounds get I don't think the receiver will be bothered, but I wanted to get other opinions

there klipsch speakers by the way

thankyou

IMHO you wont have any problems at all. I also have the 5760 and I have used 4 ohm speakers as the front L and R for quite awhile. So for surround duty I wouldnt have any concerns.

Your mileage may vary. Rated speaker impedances are nominal. In other words, some of them are a more difficult load than others.
