1-Sony KP-46WT510 TV
1-Sony STR-DE985 Receiver
1-RCA DRD486RG Satellite Receiver (DirecTv)(Y,Pr, Pb)
1-Sony DVP-NS725P Progressive Scan DVD player

My main view pleasure is DirecTv...what I have connected to my TV is Monster Cable Ultra THX Component (Y,Pr,Pb) cables goes on the back of my TV...but the pictures is still not what I hope it to be...it looks like a regular RCA connections (S-Video or Y,R,W). Am I doing something wrong...

What exactly are you expecting? DirecTV images are highly compressed. There's a limit to how good they can look.

There is no way a standard (SD) satellite/cable signal is going to come close to DVD quality, never mind HD quality even through component cables. The average satellite SD signal is suject to compression and the quality of the source, which is usually sub-par. It goes by the law of GIGO, garbage in, gabage out.

I agree. When switching from Digital Cable to DirecTV I found the Digital Cable to offer a better picture of the DirecTV.
