Given that The Chronicles of Narnia is such a phenomenon, I wonder if there are any plans to reissue Shadowlands. Region 2 recently got a SE complete with a new anamorphic transfer. It would be great if Region 1 wasn't far behind. Perhaps once Disney releases Narnia on DVD in a couple of months.

This would be great. One of my favorites. I may check into that Region 2 release though.

The UK edition isn't a SE - it has no extras - but the transfer is said to be excellent.

    Gordon,

My bad. :b In any case, I'd be delighted with an anamorphic transfer.

I love the scene where Lewis finally realizes what Joy means to him. That's Hopkins at the height of his powers. This news is just one more reason why I need to buy a region-free player.

I've resisted buying the current version of Shadowlands even though it can easily be found for $5-$6. A re-release would seem to be in order.
