I just got a Hatachi 53" 16:9 Hi Def TV, it is model # 53UWX10B. The set was made in July of 2001, and I have had it about 3 weeks.
My question is, with all I hear about FireWire and some other things, did I jump in too fast? I would hope the present makers of HD TV's would not leave us stuck! I would think that would be fraud? I have 30 days from purchase to take it back, and I was wondering if I should?
I am just in the process of getting an extra dish and Dish 6000 box to get Hi Def, but after I read on here (and other boards) about these things being obsolete, I wonder what to do?
    Thanks
    Joe

If and when copy protection is implemented, It will not effect OTA HD broadcasts and mostly it will not effect HD movie channels like HBO HD and Showtime HD..It would effect HD PPV movies and other HD ppv events...
