which hockey game for the gamecube? (1 Viewer)

i'm looking for the best hockey game to play on the gamecube. i realized my ps2 nhl 2002 isnt cutting it anymore, gc would prob look much nicer, i hope. anyway, should i get nhl 2004 or something else? i would rent some games, but nothing is ever in stock around here!

Depends if you prefer arcade-style or sports sim-style better. My personal fave is Hitz 2002, but then again I really dig the arcade-style. Hitz Pro (aka Hitz 2004) is very promising in merging the 2 styles. You can turn off the arcade-style stuff and get more of a sim-style, or you can go the other way. I haven't really played any of EA's sim-style hockey games in years so I can't really help you there.
