Hello,
After reading lots of speaker reviews and reading how the reviewer calibrated to "Dolby Standards" I would like to do the same.
The way I've been setting up/tweaking my rig is as follows:
Set Radio Shack db meter to C weight, slow. Set dial to 80db.
Turn up volume on receiver w/pink noise playing so meter centers on 80db
Tweak all channels, except the sub, to read the same on the meter.
Is there more to it than that?
FWIW, I keep the sub at about three notches higher (on the meter) than the other 5 speakers. Having the sub play at the same level results in very little output from the sub.
Thanks.
