I was in Tweeter on Sunday buying my Mits 65819 (can't wait until it's delivered tomorrow) and asked about the 1403. Checked the computer and it came up but with no stock. He said that once it is in their computer it typically arrives in 7-14 days. Looks like the 1403 is the same as the 1602 except the 1403 does not have svideo switching. Anybody notice anything else different?

That's what it looked like to me too. It even has the old crappy remote that will mercifully be replaced on the AVR-1603.
Troy:
You might want to seriously consider the 1603. IMHO the extra $100 of MSRP is well worth it for:
- more power
- better remote
- S-Video switching
- Component video switching
