Thought of this while reading another thread. Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder is not on DVD and I don’t think that the 3-D version is available at all.

How is it possible that, five years after the debut of this format, there still isn't a single film by Robert Bresson or Satyajit Ray available on DVD?

I'd also like to see Malle's Vanya on 42nd Street.
And you will. Columbia Tristar is releasing it on September 24.
I've heard it's supposed to be anamorphic widescreen. Hopefully so...you never know with Columbia Tristar these days. :rolleyes

Well, you would think they'd realize that it's not exactly a J6P title.

Several Scorsese titles remain unavailable:
The King of Comedy (in production, but has been delayed several times)
After Hours
Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
And don't even get me started on the Scorsese movies that have been released on DVD that have yet to be done right! :rolleyes

Rob,
2003 will probably be the year for Scorsese. I think the studios are waiting for Gangs to come out for the ever important marketing tie-in.
There have been many rumors of them working on After Hours, King of New York, Goodfellas SE, Raging Bull SE, Mean Streets SE all of which are must haves for me.
Though I haven't read anything about Casino which also deserves the SE treatment IMO.

Agh! The Ninth Configuration has been delayed until 9/17! Not that much longer a wait but why does this always happen to the one title you've been waiting for?

Well, I sure hope you are right Jim! It's so hard to believe that so many of this great director's films have not been done properly, or in many cases not even released, on DVD yet!
BTW, I think you meant to say "King of Comedy", not " King of New York"! :)
