Just curious as to the availability on R1 DVD of your favorite movies!
Here's the status of some of my most wanted:
    Akira Kurosawa's Dreams - [IMG]
    Bringing Up Baby - [IMG]
Cross of Iron - [IMG] - It's out, but it's a horrible DVD.
    Crossroads (1986) - [IMG]
    Delicatessen - [IMG]
    Freaks - [IMG]
    La Belle Noiseuse - [IMG]
La Strada - [IMG] - Hurry up, Criterion!
A Midnight Clear - [IMG] - Released in fullscreen only!
    Men With Guns - [IMG]
    Night on Earth - [IMG]
The Ninth Configuration - [IMG] - Coming next month!
    Once Were Warriors - [IMG]
    Proof - [IMG]
    The Quatermass Xperiment - [IMG]
Raise the Red Lantern - [IMG]
    The Rapture - [IMG]
    The Reflecting Skin [IMG]
    Santa Sangre - [IMG]
    Slacker - [IMG]
    Three Colors Trilogy - [IMG]
Treasure of the Sierra Madre - [IMG]
    Voyager - [IMG]
Where the Green Ants Dream - [IMG]
    White Heat - [IMG]
Wings of Desire - [IMG] - Next year?
Well, that's 28 counting the Three Colors Trilogy as three. I could probably think of more, but I'll stop as I'm really coming up short here!

Good question, Steve. [IMG] I like your list, especially Blue, White and Red, and especially La Strada and especially—but I go on. Don’t know a couple on your list such as Delicatessen, so thanks for the heads up.
I’d add a great number of films (especially the Mexican ones) made by Luis Buñuel are not only not available on DVD, they are not available at all. If I had to pick one, it would be Le Fantôme de la liberté. Well, two as I’d also like to see L’Âge d’or on DVD.
Also like to see Hiroshima mon amour and Muriel by Alain Renais.
Since you’ve included Bringing Up Baby, I assume that you’d add the missing Preston Sturges films such as Hail the Conquering Hero and The Miracle of Morgan’s Creek to the list.

Still waiting on Schindler's List, The Double Life of Veronique, and, of course, the Indy and Star Wars trilogies. I do have the R2 version of Three Colours trilogy, so I'm set there.

This thread had me feelin' a little bit down, but then I read on the Digital Bits that MGM is releasing Where's Poppa? and Miami Blues. While not quite top 100 material, either of those is enough to make my day. [IMG]

In addition to the obvious choices (Star Wars, Indy, Schindler's List), I really wanna see all of the Powell&Pressburger stuff released (particularly A Matter of Life and Death). Also, where in the hell is IKIRU, Floating Weeds, and the Three Colors trilogy!? I also wanna see some of my favorite films like Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Blade Runner released in anamorphic, though I hear their all in the hopper.
