Thank you, Mike!

I'll end up with The Batman and Flower Drum Song.

Pretty big week. Personally, I really did not like The Batman at all, but I already ordered Wild Things and Malignant in 4K from DiabolikDVD. Very tempted to get the Lifeforce 4K from Scream, but I already have their blu and it's hard to justify the upgrade cost at the moment.

Eventually need to check out X. Heard nothing but good things.

I'm tempted by the 4K release of Lifeforce as well, but I really wonder if it will actually BE an upgrade over the existing Blu. The BRD steelbook release in 2018 touted a "NEW 4K scan of the original film elements" for both the theatrical and the director's cuts, but this new release specifically states that they did a new 4K scan of the OCN on the theatrical and a new "restoration" of the 2018 4K interpositive scan for the director's cut. Still, I don't know how much the film can actually benefit from the 4K treatment, so I'll wait for a review or two before making up my mind.

Hopefully we’ll see some reviews here for it. The visuals are bonkers, but there have to be a ton of opticals in it that could suffer.

It's full of opticals, which is one of the reasons I'm hesitant to spring for it without some more info about how good or bad it looks compared to the 2018 release.

It should be noted that the exclusive cover art advertised for the Target exclusive version of The Batman is only a slipcover. The artwork underneath it is exactly the same as the standard Blu-ray+DVD edition.

According to other people talking about it on YouTube, the Target version is a 3-disc set, the same as the standard edition. I didn't think it was worth paying more money for a different slipcover, since I normally recycle those anyway. So I don't have the Target edition personally. I'm not sure if WB authored a different version of the bonus disc just for Target or if the 15 minute bonus featurette is bundled with the digital copy. Based on poking around YouTube, the label on bonus disc does not appear to be any different than the standard edition I bought.

Amazon dropped the price of Flower Drum Song to $14.99. That was a quick price drop!
