Blu-ray.com - Polar Express Announced for Blu-ray

By my count, that leaves the following titles as the remaining HD-DVD exclusive titles from Warner:

With IME (10)

Batman Begins
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Constantine
The Dukes of Hazzard
The Matrix Trilogy
Poseidon
Smallville - Season 5
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Troy (New Director's Cut coming 9/18 on both formats without IME)
V for Vendetta

Without IME (9)

The Adventures of Robin Hood
Caddyshack
Casablanca
Excalibur
Forbidden Planet
Grand Prix
Mutiny on the Bounty (1962)
The Perfect Storm
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Hoping for a couple more of the non-IME catalog titles by the end of the year.

Make no mistake when I say this, this is good news for BD supporters, and I am happy to see any progress made on the missing "neutral" titles. But I have no interest in this particular title.

BTW, you are missing Caddyshack from the non-IME list.

Hallelujah! This is going to look absolutely wonderful in hi def. As long as all the extras from the 2 disc SD release are ported over with new stuff, I'll completely be there.

A golden opportunity for lossless audio or uncompressed audio... and they drop the ball to play cheap.

Even New Line is marching in lock step with this idiotic practice of one encode for HD-DVD used for Blu-ray.

This war must end now!!!

Warner only has roughly 4 months to come through on their word from when they told us at the HTF chat that they would be releasing all of the then currently released HD DVD titles onto Blu-ray before the end of the year. Here's hoping they can still pull this off for those still waiting.

Now that HD-DVD is on the skids WB has been trying to get other studios to release on HD-DVD. They are desperate and still not friendly towards Blu-ray.

Well, it will be identical to the HDdvd as that only had a DD+ track at 640kps.
Lossless would have indeed been nice but the BD is not getting a lesser version, just the same.
