i would like to ask about programming one remote to do all the functions.

i have the harman dvd 50 and a mitsibishi vcr as well

with a digital dish.

can one of the remotes that come with this items work?

or is there a aftermarket one ,which works for all, that is easy to teach or enter codes ?

I have a 51" Pioneer Elite and the Outlaw 1050 and I can't find a code for it.

You may want to call the outlaws, they are very helpful.
I just haven't had the time yet.

No, you don't. The MX-500 has a nice memory capacity where you could "learn" all of the buttons on your remotes into the MX-500. The MX-500 is a very nice remote.
