Got my copy of VCI's The Green Promise starring Walter Brennan - charming little film which TCM aired in April 2021 and featured Natalie Wood's daughter speaking with the TCM host that night. VCI has issued what so far is the best quality out there on this film and included a Paramount Famous Studio Cartoon "Old McDonald's Farm" and a Warner Pathe Newsreel from 1949 of course the year the film was released. This makes a feel for a night at the movies circa 1949! VCI is the oldest home video company in the USA if not the World they pioneered home video when they released the first Flash Gordon serial and included footage of Buster Crabbe being interviewed by Bill Blair the much loved and missed leader of VCI!
