"Uninstalling" MS CriticalUpdate notice? (1 Viewer)

minor distraction: somewhere, I opted to ask for MS Critical Update Notice, but now just get a generic EVERY 24 HOURS pop-up. I have the applicable Updates already!
Anyone know how to uninstall this notice? (Win98SE/IE6)

I think there's a control panel (Automatic Updates in Win2K) that you can open to turn this feature off.

I chanced on the fix: I found the Windows Update Reminder was lurking in my Scheduled Tasks folder, where I deleted it.
