OK, I found these posted on the gamefaqs.com message board. I've blacked them out since these codes may ruin the game for people who can't resist using them!

HOLD R1, R2, L1, L2 FOR ALL CODES AND DO DURING GAMEPLAY W/ CLASSIC CONTROLLER SETTINGS, NOT PAUSED:
Invulnerable: RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN, UP
God Mode: UP, X, LEFT, O
Powerful Machine Guns: X,X, TRIANGLE
One Hit Kills: X,X, UP
Mega Blast (fires 4 homing fireballs and a freeze): RIGHT, LEFT, UP
Sell Your Soul (Weapons For Health): TRIANGLE, X, SQUARE, O

Well, Aaron...that code didn't work, not for me anyway.
But I did find a code this morning at a web-site that I hope will work, I'll try it tonight.
During game-play (not paused):
Hold down L1, L2, R1 and R2 all together. Then press UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, DOWN, UP
This code is supposed to give you INVINSIBILITY

Really? I've gotten them all to work except the machine guns code and the weapons for health code...neither of which I have even tried.
I have seen that code you are talking about. That is actually the same code from TM2, and it also works.
