Not having all the Cannon films on Blu should be considered a crime.
Agreed. And they are the bulk of the MGM library now. Very few UA are not on Blu. Would be funny if Twilight Time released TWILIGHT TIME. A quirky little movie now showing on Amazon Prime

Your list is quite extensive, and nice to see these titles collected here. But your choices of what to highlight in bold are, of course, highly subjective ones. Personally, I would highlight RETURN OF THE SECAUCUS 7, TICKET TO HEAVEN, DON'T CRY IT'S ONLY THUNDER, THE GREY FOX, THE LONELY PASSION OF JUDITH HEARNE, THE CHOCOLATE WAR, CRUSOE, DOMINICK AND EUGENE & FAREWELL TO THE KING as being among the more important titles. FYI: The 1988 film is not called WORLD'S APART, but rather A WORLD APART. WORLDS APART was a 2008 film and an entirely different story. THE BALLAD OF GREGORIO CORTEZ has been released on Blu by Criterion, and PRANCER is on Blu from Shout! Factory.

Thank You. I like your list of what you feel are important films

Excellent listings. I would hope that The Grey Fox and Cattle Annie both make the journey to Blu. IMHO The Grey Fox was one of the outstanding films of the 80’s.

Kiss of the Spiderwoman was released on Blu Ray several years ago as a "Collector's Edition" that included a nearly 2 hour documentary. Available on Amazon, but only through third party sellers.

Available on DVD-R from Amazon thru MGM home video. It was also recently put up in Vudu’s “free with ads” section, though in SD only. Apparently there is no HD transfer the film.

Cotton Club is available on a Region free blu although package lists it as Region B locked. "Dreamchild" is a film of almost no reputation, probably due to its tricky, uncomfortable subject matter. I'm the only person I know who's actually seen it. But it is wonderful and had some great Jim Henson creature effects.

DREAMCHILD I saw in a theater in NYC on opening weekend in October 1985. Its a shame Corale Brown ( Mrs Vincent Price) was denied an Oscar nomination. She was brilliant capturing a very delicate emotional tightrope walk . Its a masterpiece of style and acting. It would look amazing in HD. Thanks for heads up on Patty Hearst...I will check out Vudu

Inchon (NOV)

I think Inchon is out of MGM's control. The Unification Church financed that film and after that movie bombed they only allowed it a few cable airings but have otherwise suppressed it.

BTW, I was quite surprised to discover that Lionsgate put out that Cotton Club Director's Cut on BD. Did MGM lose the rights or something?

Masquerade (1988), a picture co-starring Kim Cattrall, Rob Lowe, Meg Tilly and Doug Savant. Saw it in theaters. Thought it splendid. Saw it on DVD less than a year ago and thought it still had its merits, despite not being an altogether 'great' thriller. The gorgeous Cape Cod locale sold this one; all about a sailing instructor whose having an affair with the boss' wife, but marries a rich girl, intent on killing her. Problem: he can't bring himself to do the deed. And the real torture here is that the girl, desperately in love, cannot bring herself to believe the man she's passionate about could, in fact, be trying for only her money instead of her heart. I enjoyed this one for what it was and would buy it on Blu-ray if it ever came to light.

As was I. Its probably controlled by American Zoetrope which has an output deal with Lionsgate( and a good reason why we habent gotten One From the Heart or the underrated The Escape Artist).

One From the Heart is available as part of a (good, and cheap) five-film Coppola collection on Blu. Kino is releasing Cattle Annie next year.

I couldn't agree more. I think it's an underrated gem and I would LOVE to be able to finally retire my DVD on this one. First saw it at a DRIVE-IN (of all places) and have loved it ever since. The plot is a real corker, the location work is gorgeous (though it's the Hamptons, not Cape Cod) and everyone is SO beautiful! I really love it (he says somewhat guiltily) lol.

If you’re really desperate, it is available digitally in HD.

There is only one movie (possibly two) on the list that I’ve ever heard of, and that’s SPEED ZONE (aka CANNONBALL RUN III). I love that movie... the lambo at the beginning skipping on water is epic. Can’t believe it’s not even on DVD!
