I read somewhere years ago that THE MUSIC LOVERS was likely to be forthcoming, but obviously that was wrong. I was hoping that the British Film Institute would tackle this one, given the wonderful job they did with WOMEN IN LOVE. I wrote BFI, which said it was not on its radar.

MGM has nothing to do with Let It Be, all rights are controlled by Apple.

Mako: Jaws of Death was released on DVD by Retromedia (the film is considered to be in public domain).

I would definitely highlight WHERE THE LILIES BLOOM & SMALL CHANGE (two of the best films about children made in the 70's), SEMI-TOUGH, and the very fine newspaper/journalist-themed film BETWEEN THE LINES. Never even heard of VISIT TO A CHIEF'S SON, but I've checked, and its director is the wonderful Lamont Johnson, and it stars Richard Mulligan in a rare dramatic role. ABBY, in my opinion, was a despicable EXORCIST rip-off.

I totally agree with you on your choices of important films. I will reevaluate mine. While Visit To A Chiefs Son is no masterpiece...its a film I enjoyed watching with my father in the GOOD HBO days( 1975) It played very few theaters and the New York Times had a nice review of it when ot played at a rep house called The Thalia that had a festival of films that hadnt played in NY theaters. The same week this played they also showed Homebodies....another favorite film of my Fathers
