Looking through DDD today http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/ I see that March is an especially good month for me. Many old favories are reduced from a MSRP of $20 to $15. Preorder reduces the price to less than $10. Several $10 titles caught my eye:
RUNNING MAN, THE
HIGH NOON
QUIET MAN, THE
SANDS OF IWO JIMA, THE
FIGHTING KENTUCKIAN
WAKE OF THE RED WITCH
FATHER GOOSE
OPERATION PETTICOAT
INDISCREET
TEXAS (JAMES A MICHENER)
GINGER SNAPS
KILLER A JOURNAL OF MURDER
RIO GRANDE
IN OLD CALIFORNIA
DARK COMMAND
FLYING TIGERS
FIGHTING SEABEES
BELL'S OF ST MARYS, THE
There were more - this seems to be a huge month for reductions. Just check the "Upcoming Releases" section.
Also, several of the Hope/Crosby "ROAD" pictures are being re-released along with GHOSTBREAKERS and PALEFACE. The price isn't quite as good as these are not reductions but they are still less than $15. As always, the media mail shipping option is FREE.
I ordered a few and already got HIGH NOON. It appears if they have stock they will ship immediately at the reduced price. YMMV.

I once saw the jewel-case "Sudden Death" (which is pan and scan) marked down to $4.99, and it STILL sat there for several weeks before someone bought it! I got the DTS laserdisc in widescreen for not much more than that, even though it's a Van Damme movie!

For those Field of Dreams fans, this DVD is non-Anamorphic and DD 2.0. However, there is a terrific 90 minute documentary with all Principles participating, including Burt Lancaster, James Earl Jones. At this price, this Doc alone makes it a good pickup. At least, until a new Ultimate version comes out.:)
Ohh, also, the whole music score is on there.

I'm just thinking that with all these Universal CE markdowns, one day 1941 will appear on that list. Man, I can't wait.

Field of Dreams is a quality disc, and not one to be watched in front of people you don't want to see you cry. Kevin Costners best role this side of Silverado IMO.

Thanks again guys. SEABEES and FLYING TIGERS are going on my birthday wishlist.
