I recently purchased a second-hand SVS and have it hooked up with an Onkyo TX-8211 receiver as the amp. I am extremely impressed with the sub (2039cs) as is. What improvements would I see by upgrading the amp? I am happy with the volume level now... will an amp like a Samson 700 improve overall quality of the sound noticeably?

Hi Ryan,

going from say 100w to about 350w will give you about 5dB more headroom(clean output capability). The overall sound of the subwoofer might not change much...but the addtional headroom could come in very handy.
