Stargate SG-1 in rerun hell already? (Showtime) (2 Viewers)

Why is Stargate SG-1 re-running like crazy already. We are only about halfway through the season and according to the schedule listed Link Removed , reruns are going on through the next two months. Are they going to repeat the whole season up to "Wormhole X-Treme!" before re-starting back up. It'll be Christmas time by then which is the traditional repeat time on regular networks.
Just curious about the hold-up. I can understand the occasional week or two of repeats every so often (X-Files did that a lot), but this will be 2 1/2 months worth (including the last two repeats already).

SG-1 is not going to run new episodes until January. It's Showtime's last season of the show, so it's possible, they want to do _their_ finale closer to the spring season, or that since Sci-Fi picked up season 6 well into shooting for what could have been the final season - they've needed to rework the latter half of the season NOT to conclude the series - and needed time to do so.

Actually, I think this is what they have done the last couple of seasons, and I don't have a problem with it.
Gives you something to look forward to in the bleak and barren months of January & February ! ! ! !

I didn't notice it last season.
Of course, we had a lot going on in the family last year at this time and maybe I just wasn't paying any attention.

Yeah, probably. I checked my original air dates list, so the next one should be in the first week of January. You might be thinking of the previous year, when they showed a few and took a few weeks off through the whole fall. It was a mess and this way it doesn't get in the way.

Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong site, but it seems that Showtime's schedule has Stargate still in rerun hell through February, with no new shows in sight.

Anybody know when new shows will be aired?

Luckily I just picked up S1 DVD set, so I'm set for a bit. When is S2 out?

S2 should be out in May, but I am hoping that S3 will be out late this year, rather than May of 03.

As for the new episodes, I saw that January was all reruns, but February too? That would blow. The only reason I can see for the delay was having to do some rewrites because of S6 being on another channel.

Dunno why they can't show them, SkyOne in the UK is already 4 ahead, and new eps resume on the 8th. At this rate SkyOne will finish the season before Showtime even starts back up

I already saw the Final episodes of this season. A friend of mine had them on his comp. New episdoes on sci-fi are coming in June

I have a question. I have been keeping up on these very closely, and last August I got some episode titles that are coming up, and a few that aren't. In all, I have 24 episode titles (for 22 episodes) - which won't work. I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about that.
