Source to find stock closing prices on previous days? (1 Viewer)

For a finance class we have to do some investing projects. What I need to be able to do is look up a NYSE common stock and find its closing price for specific dates.

I know I can go get the Wall Street Journal to do this- but wondered if there was any online sources for previous days closings. I can find tons of current info- but if I wanted to find out how a certain stock closed on Friday- I can'tr seem to find that info.

Just enter ticker and date you want to look up and presto.

Enter a stock, do a chart, then select one of the Historical Quotes under the chart.

The other advantage of the Yahoo site is that you can easily download historical prices into a spreadsheet. Once you get the historical prices displayed, there's a link at the bottom that dumps it into a CSV file.
