I have a pair of CS-Plus subwoofers that are powered by a Samson S1000 amp, and a Sony STR-DE935 receiver. If i turn on the receiver and then wait a few seconds before turning on the sub amp, everything is fine, but if i turn on both at the same time, or have the subwoofer amp on first, theres a popping that comes from the subs. Is dangerous to anything, or is everything okay?

This is why you see alot of power strips with delayed or timed turn on. It shouldent hurt anything unless it is a severe thump. I would just turn the reciver on first.
