Anyone knows much about this upcoming 40-inch HDTV? It sounds like it will be available in October. Has any reviews been made on this new TV?

Martin,
Thanks for the response. I have actually seen this already. I was hoping to see if there are other reviews on this TV, besides Sony marketing info. I believe this new 40-inch direct view will fill a special niche and there would be tremendous interest in the home theatre market.

AWESOME. I wonder if they'll use this picture tube for a lower priced Hi-Scan or "V" series set in a year? My guess is that we'll be able to find it for about $3500 with a bit of shopping.
