When Are we going to get the XBox Exclusive only Star Wars games for the gamecube? This hardly seems like a fair trade :).

It's probably worth noting that a Factor 5 employee denied the "Rebel X" rumor on a message board:

http://www.maniac.de/forum/pxmboard....1&msgid=530728

The message is in German, basically he says Factor 5 supports one console at a time (except for the developmental tools they're working on for the PS2 and Xbox, i.e. DivX) and right now that console is the GC. He does express some concern over GC sales but says he's hopeful the price cut will be a big help over the holiday season.

Ha, the IGN article mentions that the game will come out in late 2004 to "coincide with the DVD release of the original trilogy". What makes me think this is bunk is that I don't believe for a minute that we'll see the original trilogy on DVD before 2005 at the earliest.

Numerous rumors that original trilogy will appear on DVD for Christmas 2004. While these rumors seem to pop up at least once a year, the "special event" Lucasfilm has scheduled for early next month at the Presidio hints that maybe there's fire to go with the smoke, this time.

As for "Rebel X," well, we'll see.

In recent article on CNN site, they said that Gamecube developers are scaling back on new development due to lackluster sales of Gamecube titles. Nintendo, themselves, are also scaling back console manufacturing due to an abundance of overstock Gamecubes.

That was a month or two ago, though, before the price drop. Nintendo said they'll be resuming production by the end of the year and if system sales continue at anywhere near the same rate they've been since the drop they'll probably have to.
