Sennhesier HD 600 with SACD 555ES Good Combo? (1 Viewer)

Is anyone using the HD600 with 555ES SACD combination?

I was thinking of getting a good pair of headphones for the times I can not turn up the music.

Also do you need to buy a Headphone amp with this or can the 555ES power them just fine?

Those are some very nice cans, but if you pick up a headphone amplifier they will sound even better. Using the built in headphone amp on a component is convenient, but rarely will get you the best sound.

Get the 580's instead and save a bunch. They 580's and the 600's use the same exact internals. Only the shell material is different. The 580's are plastic and the 600's are some sort of metal or something.

People say that the 600's sound *slightly* better since they aren't plastic.

I've got the 590's and they sound great with the LD player I am using. The HD 600 should be awesome with the 555ES and even better with a good HP amp.
