I was thinking of those things offered at concession stands at commercial theaters

No offense Robert but isn't the ability to have a beer, or a bottle of wine one of the benefits of a 'home' theater.

I have begun to stock candy in the HT and then have a donation jar for when friends come over. Now at least something in my HT is paying for itself...

Other: nice soft pretzel. The local mondo-super-megaplex has great soft pretzels.
A soda and soft pretzel is all I need.

One good thing about movies at home is the hard liqour I don't know of too many movie theaters you can have a screwdriver with your popcorn
