Gents,

It depends if I get an early screener copy or not.

Now before you jump all over me for what I just
said, let me explain....

I do have Metropolis on order with my
favorite e-tailer. It is a movie I have wanted,
and would love to do an advance review on.

The problem is that I receive nearly a dozen
screener DVD titles every week from every studio.
I have to give first preference to THOSE titles
before I can review a non-screener title.

The studios don't send me free product. I have to
review a good percentage of what I receive or I
risk losing future screeners. It's unfortunate,
but it leaves little time for me to review any stuff
I bought outright.

It amuses me that in the past people have jumped
all over me for saying "I only review free product
the studios send me." First of all, I never said
those words. What I did say is exactly what
I am telling you now -- I have a responsibility to
review screener titles the studios send me before
anything else.

I apologize for getting more detailed with this
reply than I should, but I want to make certain
that my words are not misunderstood as they have
been in the past.

Ron:

That's perfectly reasonable.

Kino seems to be sending out screeners (DVD Savant did a review for DVDTalk), so one might come to you.
