I have a NAS, 3T drive. I have just started to rip my movies (i'm keeping them) for easier viewing, and trans-portability. I Think I have found a way to have them both be seen in iTunes (for my iPods) and on my Android devices (can stream from the NAS, and or copy/download to phone).
The thing I cant figure out is what format I need for my Sony Blu-Ray player to see the movies on the NAS. All of my Sony Blu-Ray players see the NAS, and can see and access my home movies, but not the Movies I have ripped. Home movies are mpg and Movies I've ripped are MP4 or MKV.
