Restored Popeye cartoons on Cartoon Network...What happened? (1 Viewer)

The first show to unveil the newly restored Popeye cartoons was supposed to air late night on the Cartoon Network this past weekend. I set my VCR, but the show never came on. I didn't see anything on the Cartoon Network that said the show was postponed. Anyone know what happened?

From Jerry Beck's site:
"I'M POPEYE!" the restored Paramount POPEYE cartoon show, will not premiere this weekend after ADULT SWIM as promised.
Despite publicity in USA TODAY, Entertainment Weekly and other media (especially on this website), the show will not go on.
Cartoon Network reps could not comment on the delay, but feel that issues and concerns will be worked out shortly and the show will debut soon. Keep watching this website for details and the latest scheduling info.
