SONICblue (Nasdaq: SIII) on Thursday said it would acquire digital VCR maker ReplayTV and Sensory Science to expand its offering of digital entertainment products.
Santa Clara, Calif.-based SONICblue, formerly called S3, said it will issue 16 million shares of common stock and warrants in exchange for all of ReplayTV's outstanding equity interests., making it a wholly owned subsidiary of SONICblue.
It said it would acquire Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Sensory Science in a stock swap worth $8 million.
ReplayTV and Sensory Science will become wholly owned subsidiaries of SONICblue. --Reuters
