Currently I have a Pioneer 811s and Parasound HCA855a. I have tried the following: Pioneer 43tx, Outlaw 950, HK230, and I know have a Yamaha 5760 that I am testing. I can't say I disliked any of the above just rethinking what I might do.
My newest thought is to sell the 811s and Parasound and just get a Pioneer 53tx, or Denon 2805/3805/3803. Then maybe later on add a nice 2 channel amp.
Anyone have any opinions, thoughts.
What I am looking for:
Pre-outs
capable of DVD-A,SACD
Better crossover point then 100hz(pioneer 811s lowest)
Learning remote would be nice
PLII
Good for 2 channel as well as HT
I think the Auto setup would be a nice bonus.
I am going to go listen to the 3805/2805/3803 at one shop and then have to go to another to listen to the 53tx.
Any music suggestions besides my normal(norah jones, rusted root, dave matthews, tool, Nineinchnails, janes addiction.
Basically If I keep the parasound then my budget is < $500 but if I sell the receiver and amp my budget goes up the about the $900 mark.
