I have been trying to find a receiver for my wifes music room over the past couple of days. She listens to cd's but also has a collection of lp's. I can't seem to find a receiver with a phono input. Are they not making receivers with a phono input anymore?

If you're talking stereo rec'rs I believe there are. Rotel I believe makes one. I'm sure there are others as well. There probably are also outboard phono stages you can buy if you already have a rec'r.

Stereo Receivers with phono... there are plenty out there:

Yamaha RX397 or RX797
Marantz SR4021
Denon DRA685
Onkyo TX-8522
H/K 3380
NAD C740
Rotel RX-1052
Outlaw RR2150
Sherwood RX-4109 (cheapy at Radio Shack)

Also, a phono pre-amp can be had at Radio Shack for around $25

Thanks for the list John. I went online and looked them over and I think we'll go with the Denon DRA685. It looks to be exactly what we were looking for and she will be able to use it for years to come.

I think they are phasing them out though

I know the Denon 1907 doesn't have one, but the 2307 does (and the rest ABOVE that line)

Seems like they are saving money by dropping that feature on the lower models

They've been phasing it out for a long time. Denon is one of the few that includes this feature across most of its line, where others generally only include it on higher models or not at all.
