Rebates - If everyone filed for them? (1 Viewer)

I wonder what Best Buy would do if everyone who shopped yesterday filed for the rebates on everythig they bought. I always file for rebates, and to-date, I have got all I filed for. I am sure I am in the minority when it comes to actually filing, and the merchants that seem to have jumped on this band wagon are laughing all the way to the bank, at everyone else's expense.

Why is it a sham?
It works great for me, I've gotten every single refund I've sent in for. But I do agree it would be easier if they just gave the rebate right away, then again, people like me and Bill would probably be worse off since we'd get less of a discount when it's for everyone.

fry's usually has some pretty shadester rebates, a couple I've not heard back on. Just as a matter of priciple, if the advirtised isn't the price I pay at the register I'm outta there.
