Re- Assignable Digital Inputs (1 Viewer)

Sorry for the ignorance but what does this mean? My Sony 5ES has 4-5 Optical Inputs and I wanted to know how to Re-Assign these inputs.

What I have connected to it now is. DVD Player and XboX and LD Player.

Could I use this Feature?

Have you tried going through the on-screen display. I'm not sure with Sony but with my Denon 3802 all I have to do is go through the on-screen display and will allow me to re-assign any of my 3 optical inputs and my coax to whatever input that I like. I hope that helps.
