Hi Everyone and Happy Thanksgiving. I am getting a second back surround speaker for my 797 and i want to power it with the 1 remaing channel on a 5 ch. amp that i have(the other 4 channels are used to bi-amp my main speakers). According to the maunual it says you need a 2 ch. amp to run both back surrounds. Does this mean if i go into the setup and select L and R back surounds that they will only work if i use a separate amp to power them? Does the onboard amp for the one back surround become disabled if i select L and R in the setup menu. BTW I love this receiver! I would appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this. Thanks!
