Hi. Been a while and looking for some advice on what screen, or at least what options, to look for our next-gen setup.
This is our current setup
Samsung 40" LED (at least 12 years old)
Apple TV (HD, not 4k) - HDMI
Switch - HDMI
PS3 - HDMI
BT Freeview - HDMI
Wii - Component
Sonos Beam / One SL surrounds - Optical
Not the most ideal setup, and the Sonos is really only getting it's best via the Apple TV over Airplay.
The reason for upgrade is that I have managed to score a PS5 so the core of the new set-up will be
Display
PS5
Sonos Beam / One SL surrounds
Switch
Apple TV
So what is the best screen to go for the above. I'm looking at
Phillips 55OLED856
Sony Bravia XR-55A80J
Is the leap to OLED worth the price for our jump?
I'm not that keen on having too "smart" a panel. The Apple TV keeps most of our viewing habits as private as you can get them. The Ts and Cs I've seen for Samsung have been rediculously lax...
