I have an older Denon DTS receiver, their entry level (was on quite a budget when I purchased) -- perhaps the AVR 1601 ...something like that. Anyhow, I am concerned about buying a pair of Swans 4.1 b/c they are only 6 ohm speakers? Do I have anything to be worried about?

Most 8 Ohm receivers will not have a problem with 6 Ohm speakers.

I had a Denon 1601 a while back and it was rated down to 6 ohms. I have 4 ohm speakers and it worked for a while but then quit one day for good.
6 ohm should be fine but I wouldn't go any lower with a low end receiver.

On the back of the receiver it should say what ohm speakers to hook up by the speaker terminals.
