are separate power amps ratings true, or fake, like recievers "one-channel-driven" quotes?
i mean, is a rotel 1095 really 200x5?

Actually, I believe that Rotel's claim of 200 watts / channel for the RMB-1095 is a bit off. If I remember correctly, testing shows that the 1095 can throw about 285 watts / channel before distortion really becomes a factor.

I'm having problems finding the reference article to support the above claim, but since I'm just awake to feed my baby, I've got more pressing things to worry about.
