Please help me identify this movie (1 Viewer)

I watched it as a kid, and would like to get it on dvd if it's available.
It's a "living dead" type movie. A toxic cloud reanimates the dead in this movie and at one point, the hero hides out in a warehouse. There's a biology display case with half a dog or some other animal in it cut lengthwise to see its anatomy. When the toxic cloud enters the warehouse, the display case falls to the floor breaking its glass and the half-dog comes to life.
I seem to recall this movie being in black & white...then again, I may have watched it on a black and white TV
Any ideas?

I already have ROTLD in my pre-order list
I always thought my memory of that scene was from a more obscure movie...well, now I'm looking forward to seeing ROTLD again.
